The General soon found a few of his friends that had gone before him... and they were eager to hunt with him, for they knew his skills from the times before... And so the General joined two of his friends from the former world of Middle earth. These two claimed to know a few things in this relm, since they had been here for a little while... They told him of a clan, " please join with us" they said. And seeing as they were friends of old, The General said yes. And so the General became a member of SDW, the shadow clan. Upon talking to the leader, who went by the name Nitemare, General decided he liked this clan. And so The General and his two comrades hunted and grew stronger together.
One day, while slaying Goblins around cloven pine. One of his friends told the General of the Goblin King. With bloodlust in his eyes, the General replied simply,"Where?" The warrior told him of the Goblin cave and how at the end of it... But General did not let her finish, he was already out of the tavern and heading toward the cave. The other warrior ran behind trying her best to catch up. Thinking she was stronger than the General and should protect him, she bolted into the cave first. The General knew he needed no protection from the likes of these, but let her lead anyway, knowing it made her feel important and powerful. And so the two went carefully, level by level, exploring the cave. Hoping to find something of worth, or at least something challenging.
"Don't get yourself hurt or in a bind. Let me know if you need help!" She cried.
General just smirk, and he used his elf short sword to slice through yet another goblin. They fought deep into the night, but had not found this said King of the Goblins. It was getting very late and the lady warrior called to General. "It's too late tonight, lets come back tomorrow. If we don't teleport now, we may not get a chance later."
The General replied, "You can teleport, I am just gonna camp here." The General was used to nights sleeping on the hard ground, in fact, often times he got better sleep camping in some cave or on some hunting ground, than if he went back to town and had a bed to sleep in.
And so the young maiden warrior teleported back to town, and the General made camp right there in the middle of the cave.
The rays of the sun could not reach him, deep in this cave, but The General knew it was time anyway... But before he could awaken completely, he felt the tip of a goblin's sword and heard them whispering. "Is it dead?" "I don't know... Hit it a little harder, then we will know."
The Goblins did not notice the General's hand tightening around the hilt of his sword. Before the goblin could poke him a second time, The general had killed them both. It seemed these were goblins he had not seen before, and he noticed they had something inscribed on their armor. "Berzerker" "Must be some rank they have achieved," muttered General. And he continued on... Finally, the General entered a massive cavern, bigger than he had ever seen. There were many goblins of differing rank around, and they charged him with rage in their small eyes. The General fought and fought until he saw no more. Then suddenly, he was hit with a spell. A spell? Goblins can't cast spells! The General turned to see the fortold "king" of the goblins.
Running and shouting his war cry, the General engaged his adversary with all the might that he could muster. The battle lastedfor what seemed to be hours, but the General was victorious. He sat and pondered the battle, as was his custom after these things, while he carefully healed himself. And then, he summoned the wizard Zanden. Back in town he found his companion, who was very concerned for his well-being.
"Are you well!? Did they hurt you?"
The General just sat there, with his trademark grin on his face.
"Well say something!" she beckoned.
The General finally spoke, "I brought you a present." And with that, he pulled the fist of lao out of his backpack. The maiden's eyes widened, for she had never seen anything of this nature. Then the General spoke again, "The Goblin King dropped these... after I killed him."
And with that it was clear to the maiden, the General may not be as strong as he was, but he had lost none of his skill.

And then came the elves
The Goblin cave had been a good place to hunt, but General was becoming stronger, and the goblin cave no longer presented a challenge for him. He longed to explore and find a new place to hunt. One of the General's hunting partners had been telling him tales of a town called Slythera, and it was rumored that their clan leader, Nitemare, was camped there.
The young maiden warrior looked to General and made the suggestion. "Lets go to sly and see the town, and Nite!" The General protested a bit, but their other hunting partner wanted to go as well. So the three of them set off for sly.
There were goblins all over the place as the small band of warriors started south. But these warriors had gotten stronger, and the goblins were an easy conquest. However as they crossed the bridge the scenary changed and they saw more monsters. The land was somehow hotter, although the weather had not changed. And the forest was much more dense than theses three had seen in the past. But it was only a moment that the General had to look at his surroundings, for the monsters were closing in. At first it was just bears and wolves. Harder than the goblins, but still not bad. Then, as the last bear fell dead to the ground, the first of the elves appeared. The General quickly told his friends, "I don't know if we can handle all of these elves. Best to run around them and get to the town quickly." But he found that he could not move, he was paralyzed by some unseen force. He soon heard the cries from his friends, it seemed that they were all frozen under the same spell. (The dreaded server demon spell) Ah but the General reWarriored a couple of tricks he had learned in that other land that he roamed. And so he proceeded to use everything in his power to break the dreaded server demon's hold on him. And it worked! He was able to see everything, and move about again. However, just as his eyes were readjusting, he saw the elf's sword crashing into his armor, and he felt the pain form the cut in his side. Quickly looking side to side, he found that his friends were laying dead on each side of him. Realizing he had little time before he would meet the same fate, the General began moving. He evaded the attacks while he emptied his backpack. With the treasure that he had gathered on their trip scattered all over the ground, General proceeded to fill his pack with his friend's gear. His pack was heavy now, but he had to keep moving and avoid being hit by another elf. Until finally, he was drawn up by that all too familiar force, the wizard Zanden. Safely back in Cloven Pine, General distributed the gear to his companions and they sat in the pub, drinking ale, and cursing the dreaded server demon.
But the General still longed to explore, and his mind was drifting to new adventures and new hunting grounds.

Exploration
When General awoke the next day, he could find none of his friends with which to hunt. So he started wandering around the world. General reWarriored another path that he had not explored. It lead north of Coradale, and so General began making his way back to coradale. He followed the path to the north and came to a bridge. Something in his soul warned him against the territory on the other side of this bridge, but those feelings had never stopped him before... So He wandered onto the bridge and just as he stepped off the otherside, an ogre enforcer landed a blow against the General's shoulder. It sent him spiralling to the ground and his sword spinning from his hand. He went on a mad dash for the sword now laying on the ground against the mountain. General reached the sword just as the ogre began to swing again. Grabbing the sword and spinning around, General caught the ogre in the side, it was just enough of a blow to throw the ogre off so that his blow did not damage General. But, as General had spun to attack the ogre, he had caught himself on the jagged edge of the mountain. He was injured, from the mountain and the ogre's attack, but he had no choice. He had to continue the fight. As the fight drew to an end, and the ogre finally lay in a heap at General's feet, he heard someone approaching.
And then a warrior came around the corner and spoke to General. "I was watching your battle. I must admit I did not think a warrior of your stature could defeat an ogre such as this one. But it appears he has done substantial damage to you and your armor. Here, drink this."
General took the potion and drank it feeling the healing powers flooding through him. He stood and thanked the warrior.
"it is my pleasure, but I must warn you, there are many like these in the land you are travelling, and I fear that should you encounter more than one you would not survive. I would suggest that you turn back until you have become stronger. But if you would like, I can show you to the town beyond those mountains." And with that, the two were off.
General had always loved the sight of mountains, and the beauty of the light that outinede them. But these mountains seemed colder, more sinister. and as he glanced at the scar still on his arm, he almost felt as if someone was watching him and was pleased at his pain and suffering. General kept stopping, gazing at something unseen. Then his helper would prod him again and the two would continue toward the town.
Upon reaching the town of Nachtsburg, General was warned by the stronger warrior not to go exploring without him. That this was a dangerous place. He promptly ignored this warning and went outside to do a bit of hunting. As a level 5 warrior, General had a hard time with the inhabitants of this part of the world, but he has always loved a challenge. So General stayed and hunted and grew stronger. In no time, General had made level 6 then level 7 and was getting stronger. And so the urge came again to see new places and hunt different monsters...

The General made his way out of the mountains, and back toward Coradale. Yes, the mountains and area around Nachtsburg were good hunting grounds, and there were warriors who still hunted them at level 10, but General needed to move on. He walked into Byrendale, and then into the pub.
General kept hearing talk of the orc cave. This interested him, so he asked where it was. Someone spoke up, telling him he was strong enough for the first two levels. And with that, General was off. In no time at all, General was hacking his way through orc warrior after orc warrior. Then, as another orc fell, General had a strange feeling... Something or someone new had entered the world. But it could not have been an ordinary player... Then came the message.
"Hey G! What's up? I haven't seen you in forever."
"Pele? Are you really here? When did you get to this relm? What happened in Middle Earth?"
General continued, "Hang tight a sec, I will be there in just a minute." And with that, General disregarded his stats and concentrated on clearing the room. In no time, the wizard Zanden was porting General back to byrendale.
"Your clan is still there, we stayed together and are helping eachother. But slowly warriors are leaving to join other clans. Everyone wants you back in Middle Earth!"
"But Pele, my home is here in shade now. Now tell me, how did you get to this realm?"
AS Pele was speaking, General was taken back. All the memories of Middle Earth flooding his mind.
"You reWarrior how you use to retreat to the mountains when you wanted to be alone? Well, I went there, thinking that you might be there since you had disappeared. But you were not there, so I started searching the harder areas, the places weaker warriors won't go. Anyway, I found a group of elves, and they told me where you went. So I asked how I could get there. They said that they usually don't do it, but since they trusted you, me and our clan, they woujld offer me transport to and from the world of Shade."
"You mean you found a way to get back and forth from Shade to Middle Earth?!"
"Yes! Are you gonna come back? If you are, I will go with you, but if not I think I will stay here."
"I am more interested in this relm now Pele. I have done everything I can do in Middle Earth."
"Then I shall stay here too. Where should I go? What should I do?"
"Well, let me see if I can help you out with some gear, then I will show you to the goblin caves."
General left to find some gear for his friend Pele. He returned shortly with some orc gear. "It's not much, but it's all I can get for you right now."
"I'm sure it will work Gen. Can we hunt together?"
"Sure, for a little while. But I still have a lot of work to do on myself before I can be of any great help to you."
So General and Pele ventured into goblin country. They spent a little more than an hour hunting goblins before Pele was called away.
"I have to go Gen, But are you gonna make war here?"
"Not for a while Pele, I do not feel that I can lead a clan until I get stronger, and make some sort of name for myself here."
"Well, make one soon Gen, and let me know as soon as you do!"
And with that, Pele was gone, and General was off to the orc caves again.

And the Nitemare Fades
The General returned from the Orc caves, feeling triumphant after finally killing the Orc King. He looked around, but still did not see his clan leader Nitemare. It had been weeks, and he had not seen any sign of him.
General walked into the pub, and heard talk of "the tree". He had heard mention of this place before, but had never seen it. SO he asked about it.
"Where is this "tree"? and what is in it?"
General recieved several answers, some truthful, so quite outrageous. But one intrigued him.
Twi, leader of Rhc, spoke up. "I can take you there if you want."
General was extatic. "Yes! Can we go now?"
"Of course. Do you have any Goldens?"
General was confused, "What are goldens?"
"Oh my! You have not had any goldens this whole time!? I will give you some, then we can go to the tree."
General took the Golden healing potions, put them in his pack, and followed Twi to a tree in the middle of the forest.
"where do we go now?"
We are here," replied Twi. "Just wait, this tree is the entrance."
Then, the tree changed, evolved into a fortress. And Twi disappeared into it. General quickly followed her, and they went down a ladder to the second level of the fortress. General had battled elves in the other relm, but he was so much weaker than he had been there. Still, he battled on, killing elves and healing himself. They fought side by side for what seemed to be hours, until all the elves in sight were dead.
"So how many Goldens have you used? Do you have any left?"
"I have not used any Lady Twi," General replied confidently. "I have not needed them as of yet."
"Wow! Really? You have not used any? That is very impressive, but it is time to go now. I do not think you should stay here without me here to help you."
General agreed, and the two teleported back to town. General sold his loot and gained more gold than he had had all the time prior. He thanked Twi for taking him.
And she replied, "Any time, you did quite well. Let me know if you ever want to hunt with me again."
"Thank you I will do that, but I think I would like to get stronger before going back to the tree."
So General went back to the orc cave. When next he returned to Byrendale, he was stronger than before. He had reached level 8 and saw more results.
General tried to tell his leader of the good news, but alas, Nitemare was still nowhere to be found.

General had hunted endlessly. His thirst for power and strength overpowering. And so again, he entered the Orc cave. General sliced through the orcs like a hot knife through butter. This place was becoming less and less challenging. General had reached the level of 9 and was getting stronger every day. In the dismal light of the cave, he found it difficult to see. But still managed to pick up the Orc Scimitars dropped by his foes.
But this time, after wandering to town and selling the contents of his pack, He wandered into chat. Sitting in a darkened corner of the pub were two warriors of considerable size. The armor they wore was dark, black in fact, but it reflected the light marvelously.
Feeling a bit timid, but needing information, General wandered over to the table. "Excuse me, I noticed your obvious strength and that beautiful armor. Surely the two of you must know where I could find a challenging hunting ground?"
The Bigger of the two warriors looked up at General and scoffed. "This armor is Black Pearl, and yes I know a challenging area, but you do not look strong enough to hunt it."
"I am I swear! I have the skills needed to hunt wherever you say.!"
"Very well, I was finished here anyway. Follow me, if you can keep up, and I will show you to... The Crypt."
As he said the words, a gust of cold air blew in and several candles went out. A cold chill ran up General's spine and he looked around to see what had entered the room. As he scanned the room he noticed the warrior who was "showing him the way" was already passing through the door. General gathered his things quickly and ran to catch up. The tall warrior was heading south with General close behind......
When they had travelled a good way south, the warrior suddenly stopped. General stopped as well and began looking around. Suddenly, right in front of the Big warrior, the ground opened up. The last General saw of his guide, was him diving feet first into the hole.
General dropped into the hole, and was immediately engaged by monsters. Oh yeah, this was going to be fun!

Enter Pele... again...
General was fighting bone claws while using the sides of the crypt for cover from other monsters. The Crypt was dark and musky. It smelled of dead rotting bodies from monsters slain. However, even in this suffocating place, General's senses were still sharp. And now he felt it again... One of his comrads just entered the relm, though he could not yet tell who it was. As he cleared a path so that he could teleport back to Byrendale, he recieved a message.
"Hey Gen! It's me! Where you at?" It was Pele, his trusted friend from the other relm. General teleported in order to meet his old friend at the pub for some drinks....
He teleported, then sent a message to Pele. "Hey, meet me in the pub at Byrendale."
As Pele entered the pub, she spotted general. he had already gotten a table and ordered a couple of drinks for them. As he saw here across the room, General stood motioning to her to come to the table. Pele made her way to the table, the two embraced, and then began the long night of catching up. Asking all about eachother, and then General asking of his friends and family and of the relm of Middle Earth.

It Can't Be!
General and pele sat for a long while, discussing the events unfolding in Middle earth. Stories of people killing all the lower level players. Of ppl charging exhorbinant amounts and then not giving the gear they promised. Stories of actions that general could never have believed from the world he once abided in, and loved so very much...
The General's head sank into his hands... "This cannot be," he muttered. "How could the land that I love, the land I left not so very long ago, have come to this? Is there no honor? No respect?" The General fell silent for a time... "I wish..." and he faded. "I wish I could go back. Maybe I could fix things, but there is no way to return, at least not for me."
Pele looked down at the table..."Actually..."
"Actually what? What do you know Pele?" Teh General was anxious, and actually began to rise from the table at this moment.
"Well, the elves gave me this." And with that pele opened her hand to reveal a second pendant. "They said that if you wear this you can come back....They think."
"Well give it to me, lets go! We can leave immediately!"
"Gen wait. They don't know if you will survive the trip. It has never been tried with someone who has completely crossed over before. And even if it works, there will be severe pain."
"Pele when have you known me to back away from pain?"
"I know but...but this time you might not make it..."
"Pele, you know I have to go. It was my home. I cannot stand by and see it ruined. Besides, I will have my most trusted warrior by my side."
"But the elves only gave me two pendants! And I need one of them to get back! You can't..."
"Pele, I was talking about you!"
"Oh... I knew that..." replys Pele with a sheepish grin.
The General chuckles, "come on Pele, we need to get going."
